Overall: This took a few tries to figure out. I don't do great with walls of text as a tutorial, and my brain just looks at it and goes "eh- I'll figure it out by playing" and then I don't figure it out. Anyway, after several runs without figuring it out, I read over the tutorial, missed the part about placing ingredients in the box, and kept failing. Definitely no fault of your own, and entirely my fault, but I thought I'd share the story. I read it over again, and I enjoyed the game once I knew what I was doing. Also, hot dang, a leaderboard?! Nice!!
Fun: Once I knew what I was doing, I had some fun. That said, the game is pretty much the same actions over and over, which gets a bit bland after a few tries for a good score.
Innovation: Innovation is always a hard category to rate when I'm just not sure. I've played games before centered around you running around a small shop, picking things up, and dropping them off somewhere. Whether you're building a fashionable teddy bear, or a sandwich, the principle is the same. That said, I like added bonus of it needing to be in the right order, and seeing the reaction of the patrons is pretty good.
Theme: I like the food take on the theme. I also like how your combos are more than just two objects, since the sandwiches can have three things, a drink, and a side.
Graphics: The art is nice, but I kept mistaking some object for a carton of milk, and checking "drink" on the register. I guess it wasn't milk? I don't know what It's supposed to be. The robot butlers/cleaners are a fun addition, and I like their goofy faces.
Mood: I like the mood you have set. The story in the opening is nice, and sets the tone for a cool futuristic restaurant. Perhaps leaning a bit further into the future aesthetics could make it even better? I love the alien patrons, but I think it would be cool to have some sort of alien foods to add to the sandwich (as long as it's visually clear what is or isn't a drink / side)
Audio: The music is nice! It's just right for a game about running around making sandwiches.
Humor: Not too much to be said.
Final Thoughts: Ha I beat your score on the leaderboards. $14.50 Nice game! The details are lovely, like the customers leaving a tip if you do well (or not leaving a tip if you do poor. ha!) Great work!
