Be there, be present. Get involved in (game) communities, this one and others. Play games by other people, leave feedback, take part in conversations. Be human.
That's another question people keep asking, and I keep trying to explain there's no magic. Marketing doesn't just use buzzwords, it is a buzzword. It's what corporations do to fake the above with lots of money. You can't, and shouldn't.
