I love beating children.
I love beating adults.
I love beating the elderly.
And in this game I finally get to do all of the above!
On a more serious note, I really liked the clear sense of progression that Stock 'em Boppers gives you with the level-up happening after every fight. HP increases, you unlock new abilities and now can fight against stronger enemies.
It's also great that the game doesn't have an inventory and allows you to heal without collecting items. It doesn't take away from the challenge since enemies can deal more damage than you heal per turn, yet you still have an opportunity to recover full HP. Pretty well thought-out! The thumbs-up kid really adds to the experience too.
Also, how many unlockable attacks are there? I've played several times and noticed that new attacks vary from playthrough to playthrough (like tickle and crossover)
Thank you for submitting your game to the 'Out of Stock' jam!
