I love the combo of the art and the music in this one, but I found some of the controls to be a little hard to get used to. Not sure if it was the collision or the pixel movement (or a combination of both?), but it took me 3 or 4 lives before I felt like I had any sort of control over the player. It was also very jarring to transition between the outside spaces and the indoor ones.
It might've been helpful to start with a short tutorial level to let the player get accustomed to the movement and the slight delay in using the scythe before throwing them directly into the gameplay where there are consequences.
The premise of the game is cool and the goal is clear (kill 100 souls), but I'm not sure that I'd ever be successful at accomplishing that, personally. :(
