If you haven't already, maybe make the character look different from the other office workers (like maybe black and white for everybody else, to colored for the main character). It would show that uniqueness of your character more.

The thing is that they ARENT unique, and are trying to become unique, but good idea, maybe over time they gain more and more colour

Adding on to your response there, i think as the character gets further into the world, further away from the no-color office, not only they, but the whole world around them starts getting more colorful.

Great idea, but I'm only making a small part in the game jam, so I won't have a part where you do more stuff after escaping the office yet

Makes sense, as your game seems like the kind of game that will become longer as you add more to it and update it. You Should make it longer than the office (after the jam of course), make it less of a fun project for a game jam and more of  fully fledged game.

Yeah, if I can manage to make that
