I understand what it's like to have no one kind and honest to talk with. I'm not into Discord.  This is my only hangout. I have an email I never look at. I used to be very extraverted and communicative. I've had so many disappointing encounters, I'm not anxious to extend myself anymore.

I got into making pixel art almost a year ago. I also watched Godot tutorials until I started understanding.  For the last couple of months, I've been working on a pixel platformer. I've got 4 rooms looking and working like I want. I'll post an alpha when I get 3 levels of 3 rooms each.

I'm making a 2D platformer, because they're my favorite 2d experience. I think people tire of me due to my ethics and politics. I've been told I'm weird because I'm into caring and the truth. I have to keep my thoughts to myself, but I need to work with kind, honest, and nonmaterialistic  people. I'm through with personas. I seek sincerity.

Of course most people love platformers because of the popularity of the genre thanks to classic games many grow up with like Mario, Sonic, Bubsy, Banjo Kazooie, Crash, Spyro, lots and lots of platformers indeed! Even Castlevania, Mega Man, and Metroid would all fall into that same category as they are games where you always have to run and jump while collecting and killing things lmao.

Visual novels are one of those very few genres always being frowned upon American gamers because they are not enough games to make us more familiar with the genre plus most VNs are always boring with often very little to no interaction! Japanese developers like VNs because they are great for story telling and of course the anime artwork are always been a overrated trend there since everyone grew up with anime art in Japan. We don't get a lot of games based on anime shows back then and thats why I always been inspired to come up with my own games based on my favorite series that sadly never got adaptions from anime films and shows even if they're only in Japan or never been produced.

I love making games because its my favorite passion but at the same time I want people to watch me work and chat with them at the same time but I don't have any idea where to find those kinds of places! I tried Discord but couldn't understand how the streaming feature works plus there lots of servers that can be very strict about it as I already been banned in most servers that control freak morons think I don't fit in or something. Thats why I hardly visit Discord servers anymore or even hosting my own because nobody seem to find my servers or most people are too busy with popular servers they might not even be paying attention with new servers at all.

I still use Discord sometimes but only if I find anyone with Discord to invite them to talk on my DMs. Since most servers out there think Im spamming or harassing new people just to say hi to communities I would join :(

About you, I am not a politic kind of guy, in fact I hardly care about anything to do with politics as I am trying to focus more about myself and my goals! Unfortunately, its very complicated for me to achieve anything right now because I am still looking for sites that are more populated and active than here. My reason for joining here because this site will let you accept donations if people like your work! Which I am pretty sure most people will because I have over hundreds of great ideas Im sure not much devs would ever thought due to how awkward both the indie and official gaming industry been evolving lately and the very long lack of nostalgia thats been badly missing from the 90s and 80s! Gaming today is no longer the same anymore! Where have all the great wonderful people and their ideas for game development from back then took off? This is why most of us indie developing folks should start making more games based or inspired by classic titles we always grew up with that made our favorite old consoles really worth our time and the efforts from their devs!

Unfortunately for all of us fellow gamers, 2000's changed the gaming industry which badly affect our gaming experience! We must make games like this in order to bring back the old nostalgia  experience that the 2000s have always missed! Great games made before will never be great again today and thats why I always play old games more than new ones honestly.

Anyways, my apologies for the long reply! But I hoped you appreciate those unbelievable words I have mentioned here! and maybe more devs here will learn something new from me lmao.

Let me know what kind of games you make!

"Visual novels"

My game has no backstory. I think most fiction distracts us from the truth and gives us false expectations. I find that it distorts my thoughts and behavior. I have to live in truth, no matter how disturbing that may be to me. I was interested in printed RPGs, because I thought I could connect with my Dungeon Mastering daughter. She doesn't have time for me. Perhaps she'll play my video game.

"everyone grew up with anime art in Japan."

The only Japanese stuff I watched growing up was Ultraman, but that was because it was so bad. I've never been into BESM. I've also never seen an anime plot that wasn't nonsense. People have tried to show me. I prefer social statements like "They Live" or "The Truman Show" if I'm going to endure fiction.

"banned in most servers"

The internet used to be a place for free speech. In the last few years, control freaks have been censoring and banning like Akkadians.

"We must make games like this in order to bring back the old nostalgia"

I like homebrew. The machines have the same limitations, but we get better at programming them.

"Let me know what kind of games you make!"

Here are the 1st rooms of the 1st 2 levels of my 1st game.

Wow suddenly more people talking here after several days or weeks of silence lmao.

"But we should understand that forum activity reduces time you could have spent with your recent game in development. "

I get to the point where I need to make a connection with humanity, despite how futile that process has been.

"Let's learn from each other"

I'm amazed at how far I've gotten in Godot with a very basic understanding. However, it would be nice to get help with truly understanding my code and cleaning it up. In the meantime, I'll keep studying.
