I made it to level 8 or so, eventually there just were too many enemies on the screen, even though I kept shooting, there were always more coming to replace them, and eventually I got overwhelmed and died. I think I've seen all the content the game had to offer, so I didn't restart.
Some issues:
- I found a bug: when you die and restart, your third and fourth weapon are still listed in the inventory, even though they are not usable.
- I realized it only by the end of my first playthrough that the weapons use ammo, and that those tiny blue boxes are ammo, and not some special kind of runes. Fortunately, the ammo is color-coded, so you know which weapon uses which, but the game is very stingy with ammo pickups, IMO.
- At first I thought that weapon switching was bugged, but then I understood, that it was just that slow. I think there should be some kind of indication that the character is switching weapons, like a sound or a progress bar in the inventory.
- Also would be nice to add a sound that plays when you're getting hit and your dash is ready, cause the player won't have the time to look at the side panel.
- The upgrades are too incremental, you can't feel that your stats have improved.
- A nice quality-of-life feature would be reloading all the player's weapons before the start of the level so that he doesn't have to do it manually before entering the portal. Also, disable the portal sucking the player in, it's very annoying when you want to pick up a weapon that's lying next to it.
Anyway, the basis is quite fun already, looking forward to you adding more content to the game.
