Just reading the title of this thread, without any further context, I was going "yay!". I could love having the mass mail server malfunction by going down at some point. I get enough junk emails already that this is welcome news to me. Now what were you saying again? (Rhetorical question.)

I understand there are some developers who abuse it, but I need to notify my supporters that the source files of my project are updated somehow.

I noticed that they aren't downloading it when they are released. Browser plays keeps flooding after each update though.

On that note, it’s possible to disable e-mails through your settings, which might help keep the volume of new ones down.
