None currently. Mimic required it at the start, but was nerfed.
The only purpose of high scouting score is that you can check on more tiles around. For example, with scouting 2 you get info about the terrain as far as two tiles from you, on level 3 you can check the terrain further, on level 5 you can see the encounter types on three tiles around you.
