after I come back from sortie with 50000+ gold whenever i get back into the city it says I have 0, is this a glitch?
Nobody ever reported that before... I'll give it a look when I have a minute.
It also seems to me that I often get about 1/3 - 2/3 of the gold I expect to have upon returning to the city.
its because when you come back to the town a bit of your gold is given to your soldiers
No, I mean after accounting for that.
