they can get arrested for copyright infringement did they copy a game, or they got a copyright claim? but here if they got a copyright claim: Only in very limited circumstances can copyright infringement be considered a crime. For someone who is simply downloading movies or songs for personal use, it is almost certainly not a crime. But just because you can’t go to jail doesn’t mean there aren’t potentially serious consequences. but if they copied a game: It is illegal, but it's not necessarily a crime. There is a difference. Since it's not a crime, the police won't try and catch you and you can't be arrested for it.
