I get this would go against the resource management side of the mechanics involved BUT are there any plans on having you be able to “recover” a relinquished captive?

In particular, one sort of plotline I think would be interesting to see play out would be being able to bring back “new and improved Naho” from Malagar and having her reassert her dominance over the pack with her newfound power.

And, somewhat Naho adjacent, it’s a bit odd that there is only one other captive you can send to breaker and that is Marie-Anne. Naho makes a lot of sense but Marie-Anne is one of the most compliant captives to begin with

EDIT: Not sure if I’m missing something but it seems I’m unable to recruit the mercenaries in this build. Ran a couple different playthroughs but they just never showed up at the end of Chapter 3 for the fight against Mäelys. In at least one of them they WERE allegedly recruited because Gutter’s Cove was counting as conquered already

Being able to send Marie-Anne to Breaker is my favorite thing in this entire content-overflowing game.

You monster!

She gets a good scene and all I just don’t get… why HER when, say, the likes of Mina, Valzira (who admittedly, may be beyond Breaker’s skills) and Issa are way more of “problem captives”.

Agreed, other captives are  normally much more problematic than Marie-Ann.  On top of Valzira; Issa causes a lot of problems with threatening others.  Even Chanwe might be a good choice as she can be quite a pain at times.

Chanwe specifically has her own plotline that “addresses” things. Keen to see how that will go in the future, actually
