Maze is procedurally generated? After a number of plays, some observations:
- I had a couple times with long paths in that led to a single pumpkin and then dead end, so there was a lot of backtracking
- Initial placement was sometimes far from a meaningful entrance, often times just a short stub with one pumpkin, then looking again at perimeter for another entrance...just to find another short stub.
- One time initial placement was out at edge of gameboard by trees, I fell off and just floated there, could reset when off the game surface
- The physics/inertial movement felt odd. I think for quick maze run, more responsive/direct control may be better so you don't run past turns.
- Even though it's a 'maze', I think the gameplay would have been more satisfying if all the paths were open (no dead ends), so the walls are obstacles to running the whole maze, but movement always feels forward; you're never explicitly backtracking
I really liked the background music selection; added a lot to the environment and mood.
While the layout made it hard to collect many pumpkins on any one attempt, I did have fun playing.
