Yes. I know of both of this. But there's problems with both approaches.

The shrinking back to zero doesn't shrink you back your permanent increases. So sooner or later you'll start to get uncomfortably big no matter how many times you visit plush. 

I thought of buying an item that lets you store your own size in it (Like an "stored essence"). Including permanent size.  That way you wouldn't lose it but you'd still have an option to keep playing at the lower levels.

What I dislike of the scaling thing are several things. First, once you've grown so large that you need to use it, you are already getting level ups at a slow pace. And reducing the rate at which you see the growth happening kinda defeats the shtick of the game. The system is neat for locking some things from growing and managing proportions, but doesn't solve everything. Also, shrinking from some sizes breaks the camera. 

The shrinking back to normal feature only gives back the points you earned from levels, not the ones you get from essences.
