I'm glad to hear about animations! As of other things, it's hard to tell in advance, if the game is any good, so giving it not for free, you basically building a wall around your game, in my opinion. Nevertheless, people will find your game online for free, if they really want to, bypass your paywall and ignore patreon entirely.

The main argument here is, if the game is really good, especially if it's free, people will donate/subscribe to support the further development. Of course, if this is working for you this way, then by all means continue, but you can think about free demo at least
