This was a great concept and I understand it was supposed to be challenging / difficult, however to make the game more approachable for general audience I would have either added a difficulty option or made the game easier with checkpoints etc.
This is mainly because you will want everyone to be able to play through to the end of your game to be able to fairly review it and see everything it has to offer.
Was still fun to play though!
