This is one of the scariest games in the game jam that I've played thus far (/ω＼) really good job! 10/10 or in this case 5/5 lol
I LOVED the hands and having to keep the door closed yourself, I think it'd be good if it didn't happen everytime, just to keep us on our toes lol (remembered I didn't see what happened if caught or if didn't hold it closed, so I just went back and did that and it's quite the nice little spook! I think the face going slower towards you would be scarier, just to get a good look at it lol)
The level design, sound design, and sprites look awesome, I didn't realise collecting evidence was using the little tools at the bottom though, so I spent longer than I'm willing to admit clicking all over the house before noticing them (O∆O) lmao
This is a great game, I think with a few levels/different houses and maybe some different back stories to what ghost/ghoul is haunting each level/house it'd be even cooler. You nailed it for 2D pixel horror ●﹏●
