Cool concept. This is a really unique take on the jam's limitation. The camera motion were smooth and the mechanics was easy to understand. I just think that maybe the ball should not be allowed to touch the blood at all, because I feel like I'm cheating whenver I just blast through the sea of blood, then being respawned somewhere close to the hole instead of following the grass path which would have taken significantly more hits.

Ah you are in the air therefore going over the blood. I tried to make this obvious by zooming in the camera and showing particles when you land, but it's tough in top-down 2d. Also you can kinda cheat by just respawning closer to the hole, with more time I would have respawned you closer to your original position (where you hit the ball from)
