what are the .ini files for?

Those should just be for displaying the character gif as the main folder image. Normally folders will just display whatever is alphabetically first. I wanted to make it clear you were about to talk to a character.

Thanks for pointing this out, I didn't realize it had created an .ini file for that so I had to look into why!

would you get really mad at me if when (if) I finished this I made it into a first person psx game? I'm not saying that would actually happen, just a question.

That would be totally fine!

dope!!

An INI file is a configuration file for computer software that consists of a text-based content with a structure and syntax comprising key–value pairs for properties, and sections that organize the properties.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INI_file#cite_note-1" ]<1]<="" a=""></a><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INI_file#cite_note-1" ]<1]<="" a=""> The name of these configuration files comes from the </a>filename extension INI, for initialization, used in the MS-DOS operating system which popularized this method of software configuration. The format has become an informal standard in many contexts of configuration, but many applications on other operating systems use different file name extensions, such as conf and cfg.

so is there software or a vm that I could view the files in that uses the .in? Base windows file explorer doesn't seem to use it.
