The art and world on display are wonderful. I love the monkey. He's the best. The business froggos are best froggos. And that little bit of story about the big banana are the right amount of goofy to get me on board.
The gameplay didn't quite get there for me. I couldn't figure out how to defeat the first enemy until I tried to jump past and figured out you had to jump on those ones. After being told you have dedicated attack buttons, it felt counter-intuitive to have to also jump on some enemies. That could have been more clear. But I got used to it. The controls felt a little off, resulting in quick successive deaths if I didn't stop holding forward long enough. I got the five pieces, but then the game kept going? Overall, it was just a bit unclear what my goal was and how to achieve it.
Still, you all made a game in a month and that's cool. It's a charming little game. Be proud and keep making games!
