i did publish to file but it wasn't in html

...Then what was it?

all files it said when i published to file

...That's the file type filter for the "save file" dialog. It simply means you can see all existing files when choosing a name for your export.

...I just tried it, and Twine offered to publish my game in a file with the same name as the story and the .html extension. You only had to press OK. Please double-check what you did.

can you show me a video if possible becuz i don't understand

No, I can't. Press Publish to File, then OK. Don't change anything else. The default file name should be fine. If that's too complicated, then I don't know what to say.

it said to replace the html file so i did

am i supposed to make it source code instead of an executable

Wait, what executable? Again, Twine exports HTML files you can open in the browser. Those aren't executable.

i fixxed it yay! :)

thank you so much for helping me

i realy can't thank you enough!

...Which means the file was already exported as HTML like I told you. Just upload that.

"There was a problem loading your project:

No file provided to embed"

what?

...Did you upload the file published from Twine to your itch.io project page? See the Uploading HTML5 Games FAQ.
