I really dig the aesthetic and the models and animation are really great! It feels like playing a futuristic version of that holographic chess game from star wars. A lot of fun and I really liked the puzzles. I like to take my time with games like this so although I know the player is encouraged to play quickly, I'm glad it didn't punish me for taking my time.

It took a bit to understand how to use the different actions at first. It wasn't clear when to click and where but I got the hang of it after a few deaths. Maybe if there was more highlighting of where the action would be applied? Like, when the mouse is not in a valid position, nothing is really shown... so it's sometimes not clear that you're supposed to select something. This got a little confusing when interacting with the computer requires a keypress of E.

I think what really got me is that sometimes you can't hover over a specific spot unless you rotate the camera into another position. That said, once I got that, things started to click.

I liked the isometric perspective and I _think_ the camera is setup to be orthogonal, right? It's interesting because when I read that right mouse rotates the camera, I thought it was a 45 degree rotation and was surprised it was a full control rotation. I feel like the angles start to get a little strange as you rotate but with the post-processing effects and the art direction of the game, it kinda works. It looks neat and I like how the stars (?) are stationary while you rotate.

I really liked the keyboard shortcuts! Honestly, if there were more keyboard shortcuts like.. for selecting where you're going to move or attack via arrow keys, that would be neat.

The other thing I should note is that the game runs a little slow on my laptop which just has integrated graphics. I watched the youtube video you posted and it looked smooth but it's just a little slower on my laptop. If there were adjustable graphic settings, that would be cool although playing it at a smaller size did help.

Those are just small nitpicks, obviously this was a game jam so it's all understandable. Nice work!

Hey! Thank you for the extensive review and feedback!

The camera is orthographic indeed. Truth is that we didn’t optimize for GPU since this would need some time from our part that could be used in adding more stuff to the game. A lot of the things you mentioned are like that due to the game’s scope being for a game jam. We will definitely think on those and improve upon them if we continue working on the game after the jam.
