So is it possible for me to balance all the side routes together with the necessary requirements to progress the main story? Ive been trying to balance power/skill grinding and hanging out with the other characters but im struggling to find a middle ground.

You cannot truly balance power/skill to 1:1 rate.

It has 3:1 rate with eye and 4:1 with horn.

Main skill sources is relying on skill during battle and trainings with Michael.Plus few from other sources like regular training or other.

What about the side routes? Can i complete them all alongside the main story requirements like the eighty something power points I need to defeat valvarn?

If you don't skip like going to gloryhole, yes.

But remember to do training first.
