It's a fun story with a sharp sense of humor. Great technical skills are put on display here, coupled with some very good story-telling techniques. The characters are all consistent and believable and the few plot holes are easily overlooked (An adult government agent working undercover while having sexual relations with a minor... would definitely be frowned upon). The author was a bit heavy-handed and preachy in regard to same-sex relationship themes and tended to wield the "small-town, traditional, conservative bigots" trope like a war mace, but otherwise, the story is solid and extremely thought-provoking.
