BMR does the actual opposite...... Less tons, the whole marketing behind BMR is that it is a smaller plant, lower lignin, making it more easily digestible. In reality its all 100% marketing....once fermented the forage analysis is about the same as conventional types of corn....Except the conventional varieties have a much better chance of surviving due to the horrible agronomics of BMR varieties..... instead of a boost in production maybe like a 70% of the regular corn yield would be more realistic to real world. 70% is being generous too, Alot of dairies I work with who plant BMR actually have more like 50% yield drag compared to their conventional varieties.
