I downloaded it, followed the instructions, make sure I didn't do anything wrong, and now my computer is telling me that I can't open it. I play base game, so I downloaded the files for base game. I replaced the files in areas with the ones you've given me, and now it won't open... How do I get the original files from before I replaced them with yours?

i haven't had this issue yet so i don't know for sure if this works, but if u use origin, u can repair the game through the client (go to 'my game library' and right click on the sims). if use mods make sure to move ur mods folder to ur desktop BEFORE repairing the game, and after repair you'll probably have to restart ur pc
