Perfectly executed game with a bit of ambiguous and dim story.

To be frank, I was surprised with the quality of this game. From the screenshots, it looked decent, but the actual gameplay is better than expected. The texturing, sound design, atmosphere, it was all well put together and worked on. I genuinely enjoy playing short games, which have massive potential to be bigger, like this one.

Most of all, I was fond of the simple mechanics and movement. It was pleasing to play this game, which some indie horrors are not. As I mentioned, the execution was brilliant. Yet, I do have couple of minor suggestions, lets call it that.

First of all, the sensitivity. The menu of the game is Chef's kiss, amazing, but there is no option for sensitivity. I had some trouble with my games as well, meaning this is a common issue with most developers. Second, the story. I did not quite understand the motivation for the character. I realized it was a dream, but the ending and overall scary antagonist (which did made me jump the first time I saw it on the stairs) didn't do it for me. And finally, the chase sequence. It felt blunt, the antagonist chasing the character was not intense enough to create a sense of dread. Maybe adding sprinting can improve that part.

Overall, this was a fun, enjoyable experience. I recommend everyone of my friend's to check this game out. Fantastic job on it developer. Cheers 👏👏👏

Thanks! That really means a lot. This was the biggest project that I have ever attempted and I’ve learnt a lot over the time I spent on it. It feels great to know that I was actually doing something right, and not just wasting my time. I am going to try and make storytelling a bigger priority in future games.

I’ll be sure to update the game with your suggestions in mind!

Thanks for playing.
