An interesting, although a little bit too short, entry.

I recorded myself playing the game: https://youtu.be/nJbK0Jml-Xc

Some random thoughts of mine:

  • As I said, ~8 minutes of the gameplay are a downside for me. I wanted to play this game for some more. :D

  • I enjoyed the game mechanics. There are glasses, different enemy types, keys, landscape objects that shape the level. Although I have a feeling that they were underused. It’s cool not to overstay the welcome, but hey, I think this game could entertain people for longer time! It could have 20 levels with the same gameplay elements combined together without feeling boring or repetitive.

  • I like some small details like the NPCs being able to move the player. This is also a mechanic that can be used in the game level designs (and you did use it at least in one of the levels!)

  • The graphics are cute :3

  • Maybe some randomized level generation could be an interesting mode for this. Felling in love should be considered to be a game over for the run. So you try to complete as many levels as possible without “dying”.

  • I personally think that the music shouldn’t restart with every level.

  • Is it intended that most (all?) sounds are played with a slight delay? I think it’s about half of the second or something like that.

Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to rate and play our game. I think ideally we wanted to push about 15-20 Levels but due to the fact that we had to make the submission on time we weren't necessarily able to put in all the levels we wanted to. The sounds were meant to have a small delay but that is good feedback, we will incorporate the feedback in builds after the jam. The music restarting every level was a bug we discovered after the submission and couldn't fix it in time. Hope you had fun and thank you once again for the detailed feedback!
