The frequencies have a forgiveness range so if it was say 10.500 you need to put it in between 10.400 and 10.600. It is overall meant to be vague what the aliens are saying as the goal is for players to hopefully want to explore more of the station for hints and by seeing other endings hopefully get a better idea what they are saying and discovering what 1 yes 2 no means is meant to be discovered as if you the player are discovering it in itself rather than the game straight up telling you.
