Damn, wanted to go for the desktop version. Since I have many family members on steam and it is not possible to change the settings for in-game visibility per game, I would rather not buy it on steam. Is there another way to buy the full desktop version?

If you back us on SubStar, you'll get the latest builds. Steam is currently the only way to get a permanent desktop copy. Have you considered making a separate Steam account to play H-games on? Valve doesn't mind if you do!

You can (and Steam actually encourages it) have more than one active Steam account. One for, you know, sensitive game content.
