>New Alphas come out roughly every half a year.

We are waiting.
On the homepage there is the alpha-11.3-r9202. I play the game on a 32 bit Linux system using Wine 1.6.20 (Gecko 2.21) and the game works very well. There are sometimes problems with the sound which don't bother me much and can probably be eliminated by using other sound drivers.

Hi,

Indeed, Alpha 12 is taking a bit longer, due to various circumstances. It is still getting a lot of wip builds published on Discord.

Since Alpha 12, the game no longer works for me.

Does the computer require OpenGL 4 support?

At least OpenGL 3.3 is required.

From now on I believe that games that require newer Open GL versions than 3.0 will not work for me... :-(

Switching to Windows is an option perhaps?

I could install Windows Me.

I used that until 2019.

Does your GPU support OpenGL 3.3+ though? I suggested Windows cos it usually has better drivers , but if that's WinME it could be even worse.

I think my graphics cards even support Open GL 4.5,

but I use the open source driver Nouveau 1.0.12.
Have a look at what I wrote in the game GOBLiiiNS5 if you want. *?

I see, thanks for the reference. I'm a single developer and even though I could put some extra effort and likely step back back to OpenGL 3.0 - 3.1 (downwriting some of the render features), this would be an inefficient use of time for my effort. OpenGL 3.3 given me certain conveniences which I would prefer to be there in the engine and I could dedicate my limited development time into other areas (e.g. better AI and better SFX). :-)
