(android) can not save the game because there are no "back" "save" "load" etc. Buttons where they used to be. Plz help

Swipe left and right 2 times is what I mean.
I have the same issue and have never found a solution. Swiping every way I've tried does not bring up any menu or ability to save. Just rewinds and fast forwards.
