Hey,

If you do not see Linux in settings, check if your Chromebook is fully up to date, if so, try a powerwash (factory reset).

Note: this does not apply to work or school Chromebooks.

In settings, enable Linux. A terminal should open allowing you to install WINE (allows windows applications to be run). 
Installing WINE requires calling packages via the terminal; check out a video on YouTube installing the latest version on your device.
Check back if there are any problems during installation.
