Mostly when something terrible happens and they are liekly to panic. I had my issues that the original had no real Fear/Panic/Horror roll in their rules in face of all the horror in the setting
When a horrifying or traumatizing situation occurs make a Panic Roll, which is a SVY check to remain calm (usually with DR 12). If failed, roll 1d20 on the panic table. In extreme unnerving situations check SVY with disadvantage.
