Yes, because it doesn't matter what language you are in when you grab a mushroom it will tell you the name of the mushroom

You don't need a PHD to read, do you?

And if you've played the game at least a bit the names of characters, mushrooms, weapons, and other artifacts, you would know their names, right?

it tells the Japanese name as long as it's unidentified... either cornuo damae or shitake... good luck reading the real name out if it.
