This is a very cute first effort! The art is adorable and the concept is very fresh. Sometimes we get too caught up in making a game during Jam periods at the expense of telling a fun story, and I feel like this was a nice little slice-of-life refresher between a sea of laser shooting and extreme sports action.
I did, unfortunately, miss having music and sound effects. That would have really made this project pop. As its your first time and you worked on your own, I cant' judge you too harshly for that. (Thankfully for the future, there are places you can find public domain SFX and the like!)
Keep up the good work! I hope to see your name in future Jam competitions.
