Really cute game assets and concept. I really like the house-upgrade placement mechanic. The slight zoom when one moves the camera actually feels kinda nice, although the camera itself is a bit difficult to move around at different angles. The pickaxing animation is really cute, and the new assets that pop up, as a result, are really neat - though it took me a little while to figure out how to move pickups into my inventory. I also think that the pickaxing itself could go by a little more quickly, especially given the pressure of the authorities. It is also a bit frustrating that you don't really need to use the workbench to upgrade your house (it being there made me assume that I could), but I like that just walking through the chest lets you store items in your inventory. The UI is overall really neat and intuitive, and the game feels quite complex given the amount of time taken to produce this build. Though, I'm unclear as to how I can stop the authorities from uprooting my home? Hitting them with the pickaxe doesn't seem to have much of an effect... and it looks like my house loses hitpoints. I think it would be cool to include an HP counter in the UI, and maybe some visual feedback for whether my presence actually impacts the authorities in some way. Given the size of the game space and the speed at which my home is destroyed, it would also be nice to be able to carry more than one item in my inventory (even if it's only accessible after an upgrade, because I need to carry more materials to keep building my home). I think this could help mitigate the sense that I can't do much about the uprooting itself. The spread of resources also feels nice and generous (though its lame that a whole tree only produces one plank of wood!). Finally, the 'game over' menu is messing with my cursor somehow... I can't really interact with the screen and have to close the game manually in order to replay. Overall, I think this is a great first build with lots of potential!

Dear Tamara,

Thank you so much for this immensely helpful feedback! We really appreciate you taking the time to write out your kind words and thoughtful commentary. We will definitely reword the tree mechanic and implement multiple plank dropping ( because one plank dropping is lame and unrealistic XD). We will also ensure that the next build can exit the game smoothly to avoid manually closing the app,

Again, thank you so much for this feedback! We really appreciate it!
