Felt pretty good to play, but I expected the dash to make you go in a straight line without falling. And yeah, there's a lot of text in the start. You could look for some way to show the controls better at the start as well. The mechanic of the health of the player being shown as the light around them looks like it has potential for some interesting things. Unfortunately, I can't really say if the game is good from this much. The art is nice though.
