I ran into some issues:
Game crashed around wave 21 with a score of almost 500,000.
Games like these always have a tipping point where you become so powerful that nothing can touch you - which means you need some way to end the game besides death. If it's a timer or wave count...I have no way of telling. If death is the only way out to register your score, then health upgrades actually become a detriment at a certain point because death became pretty much impossible once I was hitting waves 12 +. This is kind of funny in a strategic way.
I would suggest having the option to get an additional 3 power up cards something you can only use once per wave to keep the difficulty curve a bit more stable.
I wasn't a fan of the large amount of hitstop and knockback on hit. It was a bit jarring and marred the otherwise precise and enjoyable movement.
With that all out of the way, this was incredibly charming, fun, and ambitious for a game jam game. Excellent work!!
