Mmm... If less updates will also mean more quality content overall then... sure that seems ok to me. It would be a shame that he rushed things on important characters because of time/deadlines 7w7.

I also agree with you on that

Frustrated for... what? Waiting 4 more days? Are you really getting mad for 4 days of delay? Nah, I don't mind waiting, life is not that short! Just chill and be grateful! Also, you are not forced to pay, are you? :D

No, you didn't read my comment either but don't worry, I have a lot of patience! While I know how I sound by myself, I don't mind if Hyao desires to put updates every 2-3-4-5-6 months. I'm stating the fact you are proposing this after a delay of 4 days because "you know how stuff works in life". I'm stating the fact that Hyao should continue to work on this project as he wishes without any external pressure.

Also, sorry for my bad english c:

Well, me too! I play this game from its first relases and I love it. Anyway, I think I understood what you are saying and yeah, delays are something since the project is that big, but I'm sure Hyao is smart enough to understand by himself what must be done for the sake of the game xD

O.o What happened? He/She just deleted the account.  Weird...

He... first oppresses people to convince Hyao to change the update schedule then... he auto-sabotages himself... deleting everything. People need help from a good doc ahahaha

Stop complaining... Say tanks to Hyao... An just be patient.

Why so pressed about a harmless suggestion made to someone else?

I love Hyao's works, I wouldn't change a thing, his work is already free and fantastic. Monthly updates keep me much more engaged than quarterly updates would be and if Hyao needs more time eventually I don't mind; just as I wouldn't write a text to tell him how to organize his project while attacking all contrary responses.

You might as well not prove anything. Just let Hyao do his project as he wants and can. If problems arise along the way, great, they do, we wish him well. If he needs help I'm sure he would ask and he has a better support network than this here.

the frequent delays are a thing I don't exactly know how to address since sometimes it's issues in real life or issues with the code that aren't letting Hyao do anything at all until it's fixed. it doesn't help that I also feel like it hasn't been frequent delays but that might just be me looking through rose tinted glasses because I've been a big fan of the game and Hyao for a long time now.

also changing the update schedule would work for the public build but the patreon/paid ones would actually cause Hyao and us issues since the entire point of it is to charge 1 or 5 dollars for one update/some teasers for said update every month, which if it changed to once every few months Hyao might actually not have enough money to commission the art/music and other things he needs for the game due to funding being changed from monthly to every couple months. also, I don't know if patreon allows the change to payment's happening every couple months, and the funding change would also change his real life such as his rent/mortgage or whatever Hyao is living in and all his other living expenses since I'm pretty sure LD is his main source of income. which would also cause a lot of people would prolly stop being patrons entirely because of how used to it they are and also removing other patrons since some people are just incredibly impatient. another thing is how would Hyao filter what needed to be added to that update?

the monthly one lets him focus on one thing but more time and needing to make a lot of more stuff could also cause more issues too because he might work on like the lizards story and the werewolf one and he makes a mistake in one causing something in the other part or new mechanics wouldn't be testable as they come out since it's more time between the updates, meaning if MAJOR glitches in certain mechanics happen Hyao would have to deal with it on a much larger scale of searching for what is causing the issues.

on the thing being a no brainer, it isn't entirely one since some games do require monthly updates if the person is new to coding or doing things mostly alone and requiring testers because they can't check EVERY new thing alone. most games it would make sense with, but I don't know if it would work with this game, although it could prolly work.

also, I disagree with this seeming like a hater response and doesn't really need to be said, you're venting your frustrations and asking for a change to an issue not really mentioned and you think would work better with your suggestions from both experience and personal thoughts. which is pretty much what you said lol.

the breathing room thing though is pretty true, but I believe if he needs it, he will alert like he has in the past if he is overstressed or burnt out, plus the Echo project is a kinda different relation since they make VN's and this is mostly an RPG making them pretty different.

the reply you made a little later kinda goes with a point I made a little earlier, problems are bound to show up when making something entirely new and even with more time they will still show up and we can't prevent them every time. plus if it changed to after a couple months an update would pop up and it has the potential to have a LOT more bugs and it would take longer to patch, vs the monthly version having less bugs and taking less time to fix.
