I am playing on Vers 2.1.2 on Win 10 and I do believe my graphics drivers are up to date as well but I can double check that really quick (also not really understanding the controls for this mini game either clicking does nothing and neither do the arrow keys or wasd keys so I am at a loss for what to do lol)

This is obviously not intended. I got such reports before, but I can not replicate it myself, so I do not understand what is causing it.
I'll try to come back to it as a work on the next release.

Completely understand and can't wait to see the rest of the game once I can get past this part lol

Looking into it now.
I do have one question. Before the bug occurs, do you see the middle part saying "Mine the buried gem"?

I have the same bug and i can see the Text, i can click on it then it is like in the screenshot above.

It only works in windowed mode for me, it doesn’t properly start when in fullscreen mode at 3840x2160 screen resolution.
