What exactly do you think you were right about?
The hangup isn't because of the longer deadline, it's because he tried to rush it. Isn't rushing what you kept calling for? Or would you prefer he release a half-coded, broken system, just to maintain the weekly schedule? Do you also prefer half raw, half burned Pizza over a properly cooked one?
See, the reasons people are so lenient are several: TheArcadean has proven to be reliable so far, a system update differs from a content update that can be released in tiny bits, and the schedule will return to normal once the big changes to the system are done. But most of all, we want it done properly instead of unfinished and broken.
TheArcadean's been doing weekly updates for a long time. If that doesn't give him enough credit for you to trust him on this one, well, that's a shortcoming on your end.
