Very atmospheric, very interesting! It seems as though you forgot to turn on scaling in the project settings. You can do this by going to Project Settings -> Window -> Stretch -> 2D for mode and Keep Width or Keep or Keep Height for aspect. This will ensure your controls are on the screen at all times and that the game is visible regardless of the size the player is playing it at, albeit sometimes it shrinks the actual game look and feel (usually that would mean the resolution in Window -> Size -> Width and Height is too large, so shrink those and increase the test size below it for a better view of what your players might see).

Overall though, very interesting! Hook mechanics like this are really hard to pull off, to the point that the people who made Bionic Commando, one of my all-time favorite games, admitted they completely hacked the code for it so badly that they never wanted to show or look at that code again! :D Loved the atmosphere and the depth.

That's a super good tip - We'll definitely add that into the project when we get a chance :)

I'm glad you found the game interesting, and yes it was a very difficult system to pull off and I'm so happy that Adam took a swing at it!

Hi, I'm one of the developers on this game. Bionic Commando was a really formative game for me growing up so I wanted to incorporate some sort of grappling hook mechanic. They are indeed really tricky, and I look forward to refining it more over time. Thank you so much for playing!

Same! Regarding Bionic Commando, of course. 🤣 I was really glad to see this type of thing implemented!
