I think the balance between 'it's blatantly obvious what's going on' and 'that came out of the left field' is pretty hard to nail. (though I do love it when people are surprised by the end ðŸ¤)
As for the screen flickering, it's most likely because of the display refresh rate of your pc. Some Ren'py games just cause this issue when in full-screen. Thank you for letting me know, though!
