Well, since it's very good what you're doing I'll allow myself to be fussy ;)

You went a little too hard on the sidechaining, we lose almost the totality of the sound at the time of the bassdrum on certain parts.

From 8 seconds you add a kind of pluck sound that comes on the same frequencies as the melody already installed. With your bass that already has some midrange, we end up with a sound that is too loaded in the low register and the sound becomes muddy. Go EQ!

On the plus side: it's really cool, the build up and drop work so well. The sounds are really EDM and it sounds really good. I couldn't resist moving my head on some parts.

I understand that the sidechaining might feel too much at some places, but I really tweaked it a lot, and it's basically how I wanted it to sound, cause other shapes were not working well with the genre I went for

It's kind of what I call an "early Alan Walker sidechain", cause in older tracks, AW used pretty hard sidechaining, and that's my favorite kind of sidechaining 

But that's down to personal taste, I think


And for the low-mid range clashing, I really couldn't hear nor see it on my EQs, cause I do in fact EQ

That could be due to the fact I had to get the song done quickly or that I have shitty hardware (I used a Google home mini as a speaker, my main headphones broke recently)

But that's definitely a flaw I'll try to fix once I get better sound quality and some time

I just listened to Alan Walker, he has some pretty punchy kicks!

I don't know EDM too well. And what I tell you about sidechaining is only my opinion. And as your artistic choice, I completely respect it :)

For the muddy side, my bad, it's not an EQ problem. In your Am7-D7-Gm7-C79b harmonic progression (which is great, the 9b brings a jazz touch that sounds awesomely good), you play an E at 8" with the pluck added. I find that at that range, it loads the sound that already has a C and an F# (plus the D on the bass). This is really to be picky because again, it's great what you're doing ☺️

Just looked at the project again, the pluck is playing a Amin chord, to follow the Am7, but the E is maybe a bit to prominent, could've inverted it, cause it sound way better, and less muddy that way
