I’m a huge fan of RPGs made by Alphadream (they made Tomato Adventure and the Mario and Luigi RPG Series), and my idea for a battle system is partially inspired by theirs. Basically, my idea is that each playable character does a different minigame when doing their ‘special attacks’ in a battle (the ones that use MP), these would be simple mingames, like ones you’d find in an arcade (Tetris, pong, etc). The better you do at these mingames in the battle determines the strength of the attack.
