I just updated 0.6.9 on macOS and the game won't load. I just get a text edit saying an "uncaught exception occurred".

I'm unsure how to proceed.

We are aware of two bugs with 0.6.9 right now:

crash when entering any cheat code
crash when trying to load a save game from the end 0.6 or 0.6.1 (so the player did not download 0.6.2 and continued playing a bugged version)

Are you in one of these two cases? If not, can you send the full report please?

it's neither of those issues. the game essentially won't open for me now. i get a traceback.txt report and the game force quits.

Can you please copy-paste the content of the traceback file? This will tell me what went wrong :)

I saw another user was having the same issue as me above and followed the advice you gave him. It worked! Thanks for your help.
