So how do I include everything except the handful of things I dont like in an effective manner?

For example by rating, like that page tells you, and also by making collections.

After 83 ratings I still havent managed to filter out visual novels. Any other tricks you got?

Well, no, that won't "filter out" anything. Hopefully games you're likely to enjoy will crowd out the others, that's the idea. Like I said, try making collections.

Wait. What? "things you might like based on your rating, purchase, and download history"

Is having games on a   collection adding to that as a hidden feature?

So having the  collection "vn i hate" is a bad idea to improve my recommendations? (just kidding, but you see what I mean. I use private lists for keeping overview)

I could be wrong, but to the best of my knowledge public collections are used to help recommend similar games in certain parts of itch.io, not sure which. Your private collections are private either way.

I read somewhere that devs get info on what collections their games are. Wich can make for tmi, if you think your collection is private.

And I do not like that your followers can see that. If I block someone do they get  no notifications anymore about me? I do not want to get stalked.

I'm not sure how blocking works on itch.io, I think it's more like muting on other sites, but don't take my word for it. And yes, you can see your game is in some private collections, but you can't see what they're called or anything. Only a count,

It does work.

If your recommendations show lots of vn, you do play lots of them. Or they match exactly your interests in other tags.

In the meantime, try this

Please do not go to random vn and rate them 1 star.
