I have the paperback version of this game. Although not designed to be a solo rpg, it works really well in that capacity. The random charts are fun and flavorful. I do have some complaints about typos, typesetting and general editing though.  I just wish more care was taken with the text.

I'm glad you like the tables!

I plan on going through and doing a revision of the game - not a "2nd Edition" by any stretch, more to practice doing layout on my own with familiar material.  I'll be going through and cleaning up any typos that were missed during initial editing.

Right on. I didn't mean to sound negative in my review. I actually like the game quite a bit. It's a great engine for solo play and it's pretty much compatible with a slew of other OSR stuff. I also really like the premise of Rangers policing the wild. Which is why I think it could be awesome with a little editing. Most of my issues come from what I believe is typesetting issues. That's an easy enough fix. Since you'll be cleaning it up at some point, I have really nit-picky pet peeve found on page 51, with the quote "That strange man, Lorcan, he arrived not but four days hence."  Hence means, "as a consequence or in the future." So the woman's quote sounds old-timey but the word not used correctly. Of course, it's always possible that the woman, in character, is misusing the word. :) Again, I know it sounds like I'm complaining, but I really do think you've got a cool system on your hands. I wish you the best with all future endeavors.

... I'm going to pretend I did that on purpose and not be totally embarrassed that I misused the word.  Because I didn't.  Because it was totally deliberate!

That's the spirit! Cheers, my friend!
