I was expecting something along the lines of Amai Mahou Shoujo, and I wasn't disappointed. It definitely has the same style and feel despite being a different story in a different setting.
The art is a mixed bag. I don't mind the style, but some of the character graphics are just plain ugly. Hime and the ghost look good, Cathy in human form looks bad, and the other characters are in between.
The story grew on me as it unfolded. I wasn't a fan of the memes or some of the dialogue early in the game, but towards the end it got (paradoxically) more serious and much wittier. I still don't think it's going to win any awards, to be honest, but it was engaging enough and does a good job of incorporating the themes.
It was well paced, though, managing to be a decent length without getting dragged out and bogged down. In the end it was a fun little game.
